Mrs. J. M. Burnett
Mrs. Rachel Coulson Bur­nett, 81, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Andrew F. Banks, Rt. -1, Austinville, Sheeptown community, Thurs­day, May 24, 1962. She had been in declining health for some time.
Mrs. Burnett, widow of the late Joseph Marion Burnett, was born in Grayson County
July 4, 1881, to the late James Isaccs Coulson and wife, Mrs. Annie Price Coulson.
Surviving also are five other daughters, Mrs. George Lineberry, Mrs. Zelmer Lineberry and Mrs. Lloyd Hill, all of Galax; Mrs. Jerry Lineberry, Pulaski, and Mrs. Jotty Winesett, Knoxville, Tenn.; four sons, Fred Burnett, Woodlawn, John Burnett and Gleamer Burnett, both of GaIax, and Herman Burnett, Bluefield, Va.; 43 grandchil­dren, and 36 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were con­ducted at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Chapel Saturday at 2 p. m. by the Rev. Millard Wil­liams and the Rev. W. Isom Melton. Interment was in the family cemetery.
The body remained at Vaughan - G u y n n Funeral Home prior to the services.
