Juana was born Februry 2, 1940 to Pedro and Regina Acosta Puga in Aguascalientes, Mexico. She married Sotero Acuna, Sr., in December 5, 1952 in Durango, Mexico and they came to Clovis in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, going to casinos and traveling to her home country.
Survivors include her children, Margarita Salas, Modesta Garza, Maria Modesta Acuna, Isabel Acuna, Leonardo Acuna, Antonia Ramirez, Sotero Acuna, Jr. and Gerardo Acuna; 44 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sotero and son, Tomas Acuna.
