ROCKLANE ~ Thomas Mock died Sunday morning at 11 o’clock at his home in Rocklane. Funeral services were held at the Christian church on Monday at 2 o’clock. The deceased spent the greater part of his life in this vicinity, and was respected by all. He was a member of the Clarksburg Christian church of which he was musical director for upwards of 10 years. “Top” at everybody called him was a faithful friend, a true brother and kind and loving companion. He leaves a wife and one little girl.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Rocklane, Clark Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 191 records that Thomas Andrew Mock died at about 11:30 o’clock a. m. on 21 Oct 1900 in Rocklane, Johnson County, Indiana from hemorrhage from lung of two weeks’ duration, caused by phthisis pulmonalis of two years’ duration, aged thirty-six years, eight months months and five days. He was male, white, married and a laborer, born in Clark Township, Johnson County, Indiana to Andrew Mock and Susie Mock [sic], both born in Virginia. The informant was F. E. Wright. Thomas was buried in Rocklane, Indiana on 22 Oct 1900, Wilson & Son, undertaker.
