Betty Harper

Betty Harper, 73, of Monroe, died Aug. 2, 2002.

She was born Oct. 19, 1928 to the late Dora Adell Hardigree House and the late Donnie Marvin House.

Funeral services were held Aug. 3 at Faith Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Conner and Charles Forrester officiating.

Interment was at Hill Haven Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Jeff Yearwood, Michael Yearwood, Dewayne Yearwood, Richie Nunnally, Leon Prather and Bruce Harper.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Harper of Monroe; daughters, Linda Barrington of Union Point and Carol Bryan of Monroe; sons, Joel Harper of Nicholson and Richard Harper of Monroe; sisters, Florence Cheek of Rutledge and Eva Berry of Monroe; brothers, J. C. House of Porterdale and Marvin House of Walnut Grove; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Meadows Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
