John and Anna were together on the 1920 census and then listed as divorced on the 1930 census so divorced sometime between 1920 and 1930.
The surviving family chose to have them buried together after they both passed on.
John's obit says he was born in Appleton, WI. At least two of his children's obits say the same thing. Appleton, WI. straddles three county lines and is partly in Outagamie, Calumet, and Winnebago counties. John's daughter Louise is listed in a WI. birth index as having been born in Outagamie County, WI. Appleton is not an option to choose on Find A Grave under Outagamie County as a place of birth, it is listed under one of the other three counties. It appears then that the family lived in that part of Appleton, in the part that was in Outagamie County. The very southern tip of Outagamie County includes the very northern part of the town of Appleton.
In checking the WI birth index I discovered that John was also born in Outagamie County.
