West Point - Eula Bell Bridger, 89, passed away, May 29, 2010, at her home in West Point.

Mrs. Eula was born April 23, 1921, in Monroe County to the late Mary Jane Fowler and Monroe Barnes. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Mrs. Eula was a lifelong resident of Una. She married Joe Allen Bridger on December 24, 1940, in Una and he passed away on May 9, 2003.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 31, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Lampkin officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Prairie.

Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Smothers (Larry) of West Point and Sue Wilson (Paul) of Columbus; one son Noel Bridger of Prairie; Seven grandchildren; Fifteen Great Grandchildren; and Three Great-Great Grandchildren.

Mrs. Eula was also predeceased by two Sons: Barry and John William Bridger, one Daughter: Lois Brand, One Grandson: James Allen Brand, Eight Sisters: Rainey Poss, Vera Poss, Millie Callahan, Birdie Smitherman, Ruby Baker, Maudie Jackson, Cora Jackson, and Beulah Barnes, and Four Brothers: J.C. Barnes, Cager Barnes, Buster Barnes, and Austin Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Smothers, Allen Wilson, Christopher Coggins, Joseph Wilson, Jake Hollingsworth, Travis Kyle "T.K." Hollingsworth, and Edward Wilson.
