Funeral services for Jake Young 81, who died yesterday morning at 8 o'clock at his home at Panther, will be held from the Brushy Fork church at 12 o'clock today. Burial will be in the cemetery at that place. His wife to whom he had been married 52 years, died last Friday after a few days illness with influenza and pneumonia, which also caused the death of the husband yesterday.
He is survived by six sons: William Young, of Petit: Adam and Henry, of Panther: W.R. Young, Pocatello, Idaho, and Alvey Young, Owensboro. W.E. Young, evangelistic singer of Wichita Falls, Texas, who recently assisted in a revival at the Third Baptist church this city, is a grandson. Other surviving near relatives are Mrs. Ammie Dunn, a sister-in-law who lives on Plum Street, Owensboro: Mr. Betty Bowers, a sister at Charleston, MO., and Jack and Mark Young, half brothers at Panther.
