Thomas Edward "Ed" Farmer, 74, died March 27, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A native of Greer, son of the late Henry Grady and Susie Bell Smith Farmer, he was a graduate of Greer High School, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, a retired employee of Page Belting, and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Farmer was a member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Hejaz Shrine Temple, and Greer Lions Club.

Surviving are his wife, Patsy Harvey Farmer of the home; a son, Joseph Farmer of Greenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Mike Davis of Greer; two sisters and brother-in-law, Martha Propes of Greer and Ellouise and Charles Hendrix of Spartanburg; and two grandchildren, Jennifer Wood and Jeffrey Wood.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Holt and the Rev. John Rush. Honorary escort will be the Ballenger-Duncan Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held after the service at the gravesite. The family is at the home.
