Obituary -- Arthur O. Garrett, 61, 804 S. Macedonia Ave., died Monday in Ball Hospital. He had lived in Muncie 17 years before coming here from ___ Tennessee. He was a former employee of Franks ... until his retirement three years ago because of ill health. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle; seven daughters, Mrs. Treva Lawson, Mrs. Ineda Rackey, Mrs. Janice Slowe, Mrs. Cathryn Norris, all of Muncie, Mrs. Odean Branum, Alexandria, Mrs. Rassie Hatfield, Jamestown, Tenn., and Mrs. Minnie Jewel Crysp, Wilder Tenn.; two sons, Boyd, Muncie, and Doyle, at home; 17 grandchildren, and five brothers, Austin and B. Garrett, Livingston, R. D. Garrett, Allons, Tenn., S. Q. Garrett, Nashville, Tenn., and Boss Garrett, Crossville, Tenn. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary until noon Wednesday and at Mt. Zion Church one-half hour before the services there at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Oliver England will officiate. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery, Jamestown, Tenn.
