She was born May 23, 1954, in Parsons, to John Mangan and Peggy E. (Beggerly) Mangan Henderson. She was raised in Parsons by her mother and step-father, Donald E. Henderson. She graduated from Parsons High School in 1972 and attended Parsons Junior College. She participated in school plays and played softball in her younger years. She loved football, especially the Denver Broncos. In previous years she attended the Foursquare Church in Parsons.
Survivors include two daughters – Amanda Swaffar, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Sarah Myrick, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; granddaughter – Ava Swaffar; Father – Donald E. Henderson, Sr., of Parsons; and a brother – Donald E. Henderson, Jr., of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Henderson and a sister, Susan Mangan.
SERVICES – will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Springhill Cemetery. The Carson-Wall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and friends may call there Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
