Johanna Gregerson Rites Held Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Johanna Gregerson were held on Friday afternoon at 2:00 from the Upper Popple Creek Lutheran Church with Rev. Harold Bestul officiating and the Bremer Funeral Home in charge.
The deceased passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Lee in the Town of Otter Creek on Wednesday morning, July 21, at the age of 89 years.
She was born in Telemark, Norway, October 17 1864, daughter of Torger and Hagge Torgerson and at the age of seven, the family migrated to America where they took up a residence in Trempeleau County. After residing there for a few years they moved to the Town of Otter Creek where she had since made her home.
In 1884, she was united in marriage to George A. Gregerson, who preceded her in death in 1925.
Surviving her passing are two sons, George and Julius of Wheeler; five daughters, Bertina, Mrs. Will Weaver, Wheeler; Clara, Mrs. Peter Score, Boyceville; Selma, Mrs. Kent O'Donnell, Colfax; Ruth, Mrs. Art Lee, Wheeler; Julia, Mrs. Walter Donat, Portland, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Ab Snyder, 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Interment was in the Hay River cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Barney Weaver, Will Weaver, Peter Score, Kent O'Donnell, Art Lee and Bob Lee.
