A graveside service will be 11 a.m. today in Harmony Cemetery, Richland, according to L.B. Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. McGlaun was born Dec. 18,1904, in Gilmer County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Marion Akin. A graduate of Georgia State College for Women, Milledgeville, now Georgia College, she taught elementary school in Gilmer County for several years. She worked for Z.L. Coffin Furniture Store in Richland for many years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Sims Chapter, and the Richland Garden Club. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Larry Alien McGlaun of Richland; four sisters, Mrs. David McGlaun of Cusseta, Mrs. Wayne Dunn of Marietta, Mrs. Leonard Chadwick and Mrs. Clinton Harper, both of Elljay; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, Atlanta.
