AUDRA 'LEE' KEETON
Services for Audry Lee Keeton, 85, of Cyril will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at the Cyril First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard McPheeters, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Travis Wollenberg and the Rev. Don Wright, assisting. Keeton was born June 10, 1914 at Anutt, Dent co., Mo. to Elva and Opal (Heavin) Keeton and died Sunday, March 19, 2000 in Cyril.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and two sons, Joyce Kenneth in 1942 and Billy Wayne in 1957. He moved to Cement as a child and graduated from Cement High School. Keeton married the former, Arlene McCloskey on Oct. 18, 1936 in Chickasha.
He worked in the oil fields and for the railroad as a young man. In 1941 he moved to Cyril where he worked at the Anderson-Prichard Oil Refinery. He retired from there after working for 20 years. In 1974 he opened the Keeton Insurance Agency at Cyril. He served as the Caddo county board member for Oklahoma Farmer's Union Insurance Company.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo and Clayton Scott of Cyril and Wilma and Clifford Burgess of Wichita Falls, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Wanda Keeton of Ninnekah, Ok.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lola and Cecil Griffin of Ninnekah, Ok.; Lois and Jim Morris and Betty Peters, all of Chickasha, Ok.; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Brown and her husband, Chancy of Cyril and Terri Burgess of Irving, Texas; two grandsons and their wives, Paul and Susan Scott of Duncan, Ok. and Jerry 'Smokey' and Tammy Burgess of North Richland Hills, Texas; a grandson by choice, Shawn Beach of Atlanta, Ga., and eight great grandchildren. Burial will be in the Cement Cemetery under the direction of the Binyon-Cyril Funeral Home.
