Mrs. Ethel Mae Edwards was born July 1, 1898, in Pontotoc county, Okla., and passed away at an Anadarko hospital Jan. 27. She was 39 years, 6 months and 26 days old.
Mrs. Edwards was converted and joined the Missionary Baptist church at an early age. She was married to Lee Edwards in 1923. To this union two sons were born, Clyde, 10, and Lloyd, 7. Besides her husband and sons she is survived by four brothers and two sisters, Mrs. John McDonald, Stratford; J. W. Roberts, Lawton; L. W. Pickens, Elmore City; Mrs. Mark J. Weeden and F. J. Pickens, Washington, Okla.; and T. A. Pickens, Davis.
Funeral services were held at the Assembly of God church at Cyril last Friday with Rev. J. C. Earl, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Cement I.O.O.F. cemetery with the Anadarko Funeral Home in charge.
The friends of the family sympathize with them in their loss.
