Mary Elizabeth Winslow Hendricks, 91, of Winslow Memorial Home and formerly of Chesapeake, Va., died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008. Mrs. Hendricks was born in Perquimans County and was the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Nora Layden Winslow. A homemaker, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Linwood "Jim" Hendricks; a sister, Norma W. Bunch; brothers, Gordon, George G., Oliver, Claude, Wilford "Bill", and infant brothers, George W. and Milton Winslow. Surviving are a sister, Eva Wrae Landing of Hertford; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Piney Woods Friends Meeting by Pastor Frank Carter. Burial will follow in Up River Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
