Born on May 20, 1933 in Morgan County to the late Maggie Belle Ruark Conner and the late Lewis Conner.
Funeral services were held April 16 at the chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Conner officiating.
Interment was in Hill Haven Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bruce Jones, Greg Jones, Keith Crew, Jeff Brandy, Todd Conner and Brandon Barrett.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Stapp Conner of Monroe; daughter, Wendy Conner of Monroe; sister, Alice Hodges of Monroe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Shelia Conner of Monroe and R.D. and Opal Conner of Monroe; grandchildren, Brandon and Angela Barrett of Monroe; and great-grandchild, Cameron Barrett of Monroe.
Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
