Deceased Name: Frances 'Hooty' Culp
Frances "Hooty" Culp, 81, of Hannibal, died at 7:14 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2008, at her daughter's home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Richard Martin will officiate. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. July 1, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Culp was born June 29, 1926, in Hannibal to Harvey Arnett and Almedia Sullens Arnett Bryant.
She was married to Chester "Buddy" Culp on Feb. 5, 1946, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Aug. 9, 1998.
Survivors include four daughters, Louise Bird (Bruce), Linda Wintjen (Ron) and Sue Linton (Terry), all of Hannibal, and Lori Sullivan (Dan) of Jefferson City; three sons, Gary Culp (Linda), Ralph Culp (Carol) and James Culp (Tina), all of Hannibal; 12 grandsons, Brent Greenup, Russ Greenup, Ron Wintjen Jr., Dale Rhodes, Andy Rhodes, Gary Culp Jr., Ralph Culp Jr., Clinton Culp, Michael Culp, James Culp II, Troy Culp and Melvis Palmer; 11 granddaughters, Tela Eply, Tonya Smallwood, Angie Stone, Mandy Wintjen, Debbie Morgan, Robin Wade, Courtney Vopel, Diamond Culp, Kylie Culp, Brenda Nicolson and Hannah Sullivan; three stepgrandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and four sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Fountain; three brothers; Ed Arnett, Paul Arnett and Floyd Arnett; one grandson, Joshua Culp; and one granddaughter, Tracy Fountain.
Mrs. Culp was a homemaker. She loved to play Bingo. Mrs. Culp was a Christian by faith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blessing Hospice of Hannibal, in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Culp's grandsons.
