SPRINGFIELD SUN OBITUARY
Mr. Thomas M. Blandford, old and highly respected citizen of this county, who lived in the St. Rose neighborhood, died at his home last Wednesday and was buried the following day at St. Rose, of which church he had long been a faithful member. Mr. Blandford had been an invalid for a number of years and of late had been closely confined to his home because of his failing health. While his death was a great blow to his family and friends it did not come as a surprise. He was seventy seven years old and was born and had always lived in this county where he engaged in farming. He was a man who was highly respected by all who knew him, not only in his own community but wherever he was known. Mr. Blandford is survived by his widow and the following children: Bro. Damien, of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. T. F. Montgomery, R.K. Blandford, Mrs. Marion Warren, of New Mexico; Mrs. Roy Smith, Leo Blandford, Mrs. Ed Osborne, John Blandford and Robert Blandford.
