Mother of Adolph, Joseph and Bernard
Mrs. Elizabeth Moritz, wife of Chris, died at her home, corner Fourth and Blish Streets, Sunday morning at 12:50 o'clock. Her death was the result of blood poisoning that developed from the crushed and bruised condition of her foot which was smashed by a big lump of coal that fell on it nearly two weeks ago.
Mrs. Moritz was born in Cincinnati, October 5, 1852 and was married to Chris Moritz of this county May 3, 1881.
To this union five children were born of which three survive. A.H. Moritz, Indianapolis, J.B. Moritz, Seymour and B.C. Moritz, with the U.S. forces in France. Two brothers Henry Werning and B.C. Werning, Indianapolis, also survive.
The funeral will be held at the St. Ambrose Catholic church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. Burial in the Catholic cemetery.
