Irvin Theodore Rominger was the youngest of ten known children of Levi Jacob Rominger (1811-1893) and Rebecca Ann Fetter (1814-1902), who married 18 Aug 1839 at Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina. Previous to marrying Rebecca Levi was married to Mary Carter (1814-1834) on 15 Jul (or 25 Jun?) 1832 at Bartholomew County, Indiana, with whom he had one known child.

Irvin married Alma Charlotte Schaefer (1874-1944) on 20 (or 30?) Jun 1894 at Hope, Bartholomew County, Indiana. Irvin and Alma were the parents of three known children, namely:

1. infant daughter Rominger (1896-1896)
2. infant son Rominger (1898-1898)
3. baby boy Rominger (1906-1906)

OBIT 1:

I. T. Rominger, 79 years old, former resident of this county died this morning at his home in Winston Salem, North Carolina, death resulting suddenly from heart disease. Funeral services will be held in that city Friday, according to word received here by relatives.

Mr. Rominger was born and reared in this county, the son Levi Rominger, who for years conducted a dry good store at Hope. About six years ago he retired and moved with his family to Winston Salem. While a resident of this county, Mr. Rominger was associated with his brother, Henry Rominger, in promoting a factory which became the Orinoco Furniture factory.

Mr. Rominger was a member of the Hope Moravian Church and was well known in the county. He is survived by his wife.

Born and raised at Hope, lived at Winston-Salem, North Carolina, died Tuesday, December 30, 1931, with funeral service Friday at Winston-Salem. He was the last of his immediate family, youngest son of Levi Joseph and Rebecca Ann Rominger. They had ten children but only three lived to maturity. He married Alma Schaefer June 20, 1894. They had one daughter and two sons who died in infancy.
