Sidney Francis Barnhouser, a seaman employed by the Continental Steamboat Company, fell from a barge into twelve feet of water in the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal at Chesapeake City Thursday night about 11:50 o'clock and was drowned. Coroner F. Rodney Frazer investigated and gave a certificate of death from accidental drowning by falling from a barge while in the line of duty. Mr. Barnhouser was a native of Cambridge, Md. and was forty-one years of age. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Barnhouser, of 3121 Rembley avenue, Baltimore and six children. Cecil County News May 16 1934.
