Lester was the eldest child of the late Joe Clayton Lewis and the late Mary Mae White Lewis. Lester was employed by the Celanese Corporation from 1949 until 1969. He then became self-employed, doing various handy man jobs and managing his rental properties. Lester is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine "Jerry" Mullinax Lewis; his son, Curtis Lewis of Rock Hill; his granddaughter, Jennifer Lewis Harlan and husband, Alan; his great granddaughter, Raegan of Eat-onville, Washing- ton; his grandson, Tyler C. Lewis of Olympia, Washington;
three brothers, Samuel J. Lewis and wife, Kay of South Boston, Va., Furman E. Lewis and wife, Barbara of Bla-ckstock, S.C. and Mendel L. Lewis and wife, Sherri of Catawba, S.C. and his sister, Alma L. Hyatt.
Lester was preceded in death by his sisters, Vera Elizabeth Lewis and Evie Lewis Schultz. Visi-
tation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Bass-Cau- then Funeral Home.
Graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Grand View Memorial Park on South Cherry Road with Pastor Jerry Catledge officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church at P.O. Box. 3207, Rock Hill, S.C. 29732. Bass-Cauthen Funeral Ho-me is in charge.
