Marie Peppler
Marie Peppler, 95, of Longmont died Wednesday, Aug 18, 1993 at Life Care Center in Longmont.
Mrs. Peppler was born on Jan 2, 1898, in Beckerchta, Russia. She was the daughter of George Schmunk and Eva Martin Schmunk.
In 1902, at the age of 4, she came to the United States with her family. The Schmunks settled in Fort Collins, and Marie spent her childhood here.
In 1914, she married Alex Peppler in Fort Collins. She moved from Fort Collins to Longmont in 1929.
Mrs. Peppler was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and flower gardening.
She attended Christ Congregational Church of Longmont and was a member of the Ladies Fellowship of Christ Congregational Church.
Mrs. Peppler is survived by her sons, Glen Peppler Sr and Marvin Peppler, both of Longmont, and Leonard Peppler of LaSalle; four daughters, Edna Brown and Leona Burbank, both of Arvada, Shirley Apple of Greeley, and Hatti Befus of Mesa, Arizona; one brother, Jake Schmunk of Greeley; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren ; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Peppler; two sons, Elmer and Leroy Peppler; one daughter, Freda; two brothers, two sisters, and one grandchild.
