Bessie E. Watts, 81, of Council Bluffs, died Tuesday at Glenhaven Resthome at Glenwood.
She was born in Colorado. She and her husband, Jake, farmed for more than 30 years in the Bentley community, retired in about 1953 and moved to Council Bluffs five years later.
The couple observed their 63rd wedding anniversary Jan. 12.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Virgil of Missouri Valley and Charles of Council Bluffs; daughter, Darlene Skocz of Omaha; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the McCurdy Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Richard D. Hogan, pastor of First Christian Church, will officate. Burial will be in the rural Garner Township Cemetery.
