Mr. Vogrin was born in Kansas City, KS, and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the '41ers Club of Bishop Ward High School. Mr. Vogrin was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Bill worked in sales for the Gas Service Company before his retirement. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary-St. Anthony's, where he ushered for many years and ran the St. Anthony's Club until it closed.
Bill was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Henry G. Vogrin, Emma V. Flynn, and Joseph Vogrin; and his daughter-in-law, Margaret A. Vogrin. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Vogrin, of the home; four sons, Joseph G. Vogrin, Kansas City, KS, Edward A. Vogrin and his wife, Jeri Ann Vogrin, Kansas City, KS, William J. Vogrin, Jr., and his wife, Carolyn L. Vogrin, Colorado Springs, CO, and James R. Vogrin and his wife, Dene M. Vogrin, Kansas City, KS; a brother, Robert Vogrin, Kansas City, KS; two sisters, Mary Ann Vogrin, Kansas City, KS, and Loretta Tyler, Appleton City, MO; and seven grandchildren. He was a decent, hard-working, honest, family man who will be missed by many.
