MATTHEW BEARDWOOD DEAD
Well-known Retired Manufacturer Passes Away at 79
Matthew Beardwood, Sr., a retired manufacturer, died on Tuesday evening, in his 79th year, from cardiac disease, at his home 569 Jamestown avenue, Roxborough.
Mr. Beardwood was born in England, but came to this country when 22 years of age. He was at one time a prominent business man of Cape May City, N. J. He was a Past Master Mason of the Cape May Lodge and a member of Select Council. Later he joined his brother in the cloth finishing business in Philadelpha and was engaged in this line until his retirement. Four sons and three daughters survive him.
Interment will take place on Saturday at West Laurel Hill.
