At 4 pm Saturday in the manse of Rocky Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Cyrus W. Moorhead, pastor, officiating, Herbert W. Cubitt married Mildred W. Snyder in a single ring ceremony. A family dinner was enjoyed at Plowman's in Dempseytown, then the couple left on a wedding trip to New York City. They will live at 207 Front Street, Rocky Grove.

Herbert W Cubitt, 76, of 3702 Crest Drive, formerly of Franklin, died Monday at Arlington Hospital in Arlington, VA. A native of Muncie, IN, he was born Jan. 9, 1903, a son of George and Ada Luton Cubitt.
He was first married to Mabel Stranford who died in 1947. His second marriage was to the former Mildred Gillingham who died in 1973.
He was a machinist by trade and had retired to Albuquerque, NM, prior to an illness which prompted him to make his home with a daughter in Annandale, VA.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Edgar, Annandale, Mrs Hugh (Shirley) Dwelley of Fairfax, VA, and Mrs Shirley Chapman of Stamford, CT; four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Boyd and Mrs. Evelyn Schaum of Port Charlotte and Port St. Lucie, FL, respectively; Mrs. Joseph (Ida Marie) LaPlaca of Erie; two brothers, Paul Cubitt, Erie, and Donald Cubitt of Roanoke, VA; and eight grandchildren.
Service will be at the Robert W Gardinier Funeral Home with Dr. John D. Thomas of Rocky Grove United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
