Sarasota was shocked and grieved last Friday evening when the news came that a gasoline explosion had occurred on the Vidofner II, the Ringling yacht, which had been in Tampa for the past several weeks having new engines installed and other changes made, and that Ben S. Oslon, one of Sarasota's most popular young men, had been fatally injured.
Mr. Oslon, who was on the aft deck of the yacht, was knocked down b the force of the explosion and caught his foot in the rigging in such a way that he could not escape, and was fatally burned before he could be take off the yacht.
