Grandfather Asmussen (Andrew W.) passed away last Tuesday morning. The old gentleman was 76 years of age, a native
of Norway, a union soldier in the Civil War, and the father of a large family of industrious and thrifty children.
He was a member of the Baptist Church. Old age and long service had impared his faculties and he spent the last years of his life with
his children.
The funeral occured at the Christian Church, Wednesday morning , July 24, 1906 , conducted by Elder McLain.
