Leon B. Janiszewski was born to parents Stanley K. Janiszewski and Helena Pulszynsa on 23 October 1902 in Poland. He worked for a tool and die maker. On 23 December 1908, He immigrated form Poland to New York aboard the S.S. Kroonland. He later settled in The Chicago Area along with the rest of his family and siblings. In 21 Jul 1928 he married Agnes Stiegart in Lake County Indiana. On 18 November 1941 he is granted U.S Nationalization at the U.s District Court in Chicago Illinois that stated he has applied for Nationalization which was granted. He signed up for the WW2 draft, but was 39 yrs old, when he signed up. He died on 27 June 1979, just two yrs after his only wife, Agnes passed away. Like her, he is buried at St. Adabert's Catholic Cemetery, in Niles Illinois. He lies next to his wife, Agnes.
