Private Burwell Callaway served in Co B, 13th Indiana Cavalry during the Civil War. He enlisted 28 Dec 1863 and was discharged on 18 Nov 1865.

Age 80 yrs, 1 day. Husband of Chloe Winslow, married 8/24/1876. Son of Edmund Calloway and Nancy Crockett Callaway.

Note that the headstone incorrectly gives the soldier's name as Callaway Burwell.
