Efren Nicacio Pacheco, of Johnstown, passed away Oct. 6, 2010, at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was 70.
Mr. Pacheco was born July 9, 1940, in Trujillo, N.M., to Florencio and Elena (Martinez) Pacheco. He moved to Colorado in 1958.
On Aug. 24, 1963, he married Delores Salazar, the love of his life for 47 years.
Mr. Pacheco was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church. He loved fishing, camping, gardening, and woodworking in his shop. But more importantly, he loved his family and his grandchildren. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him.
Mr. Pacheco is survived by his wife, Delores Pacheco of Johnstown; daughters, Elizabeth (Tom) Archuletta of Greeley, Marie (Gregg) Jones of Cumming, Ga.; sons, Efren Steven (Susan) Pacheco of Ault, and Vincent (Judy) Pacheco of Cecilia, Ky.; grandsons Matthew Archuletta of Morrison, Nicholas Pacheco of Ault, Kyle Pacheco of Cecilia Ky.; granddaughters Erica Henderson of Phoenix, Ariz., Holly and Rachel Jones of Cumming, Ga., Mikayla Pacheco of Ault, and Katelyn Pacheco of Cecelia, Ky.; brothers Gus Pacheco, Lino Pacheco, Herman Pacheco, Lee Pacheco; and a sister, Alice Torrez.
Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, and two nieces.
Rosary was held Monday at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnstown, followd by Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment was at Johnstown Cemetery.
