Funeral services will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in Opelousas for Stephen J. Smith, 74 of Bristol.
Smith died Wednesday (January 21, 1981) at 3:10 p.m.. Burial will be in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on Sunset Highway is in charge of arrangements.
There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. tonight (January 27, 1981) Funeral home will remain open until the time of the service.
He is survived by his wife, the former Emerita Savoie of Bristol; two daughters, Mrs. Lula Mae Thibodeaux of Church Point and Mrs. Raymond (Joyce) Darbonne of Erath; one brother, Laurent Smith of Bristol; one sister, Mrs. Emma Bearb of Rayne; six-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
