Henry Webb Neff was accidentally killed at Arlington, Washington, about three o'clock Thursday afternoon, January 13 1911, by a flying fragment of rock from a blast set in blowing out a stump. Mr. Neff was assisting in the clearing and while the blasts were being fired by an expert, he was on the public road to prevent any one attempting to pass and when struck down was fully 700 feet from the blast and looking down the road. The rock that killed him struck him in the back of the head, to the left of the right ear and his death was instant and painless.
