The story about Frederick’s birth is one that did not come out for several years. My grandmother was Clio Carson; I have researched her family back into the 1700s and forward into those living, today.

Fred’s story was provided to me by a family member - here is their quote: Back in tho days, they tried to keep everything hidden. I have a tape recording of my grandma Opal Rynearson daughter to Fred Carson. Explaining his birth and parents. The state birth record is right, except for the extra info on the back they had. It has the right info on it and parents. Elizabeth (kidd) Carson is the grandma to Fred. She had remarried after Andrew died. She took in boarders. She married Benjamin W McConkey on Dec 14, 1881. He did incest with her two daughter. Carrie Mabel Carson was the only one to get with child. Fred did not find out that Carrie was his mother until later in life. Benjamin went to Prison for his action. Fort Madison Prison. Will share my documents.

Fred’s mother’s FAG memorial is: 70193302

Carrie Mabel Carson was about 13 years old when Fred was born. Years later, she married George Melvin Dean.
----------------------------------
Elizabeth Kidd Carson and Benjamin McConkey were married 14 December 1881. Fred was born to this marriage, but is recognized by the last name of Carson as Elizabeth was recognized as Mrs. Carson on the birth certificate.

I am assuming since Benjamin McConkey ended up in prison and died there in 1885 that Elizabeth did not want Fred associated to his biological father.
