Mrs. Alvin (Mabel F.) Peterson, 61, Rt. 2, Argyle, died Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 2 p.m. in the Lafayette Manor Nursing Home in Darlington. She had been in poor health the past several years.
Born in Wiota Township on Aug. 20, 1913, she was the former Mabel F. Thoreson, daughter of Anton and Amelia Haroldson Thoreson. She was married June 5, 1934, in the Wiota Church parsonage to Alvin Peterson. She lived in Wiota Township all her life.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin; two daughters, Mrs. Orval (Leona) Reed, Warren, Ill., and Miss Ruth Peterson, Janesville; two sons, Eugene and Sherman, Rt. 2, Argyle; one brother Raymond Thoreson, Brodhead; and six grandchildren.
She was a member of the Wioa Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. in the East Wiota Lutheran Church. Rev. Elred Peterson of the Wiota Lutheran Churches will officiate. Burial will be in East Wiota Cemetery. Friends may call Friday after 2 p.m. in the Erickson Funeral Home, Argyle, and at the church onSaturday from 1 p.m. until time of services.
