Mrs. Jessie Johnson, aged 83, passed away Tuesday at her home in Grant Township (Kent City RFD). Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Menno Syswerda of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Earl Shue of Fremont, Mrs. Russel Anderson of Kent City, Miss Evelyn Johnson at home; five sons, Barney of Grand Rapids, James of Belding, Peter, Edward and Richard at home; forty-three grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Grant Reformed church. Interment Hillside cemetery. Mrs. Johnson will be taken from the McKinley Chapel to the residence Thursday morning.
