Alton Louis Shepardson, was born in Auburn, NY on June 15, 1952 and passed away on September 30, 2007. He attended Union-Endicott High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps with two tours in the Republic of Vietnam. He loved the outdoors and loved being with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom he heckled mercilessly with love. He is predeceased by the mother of his children, Deborah A. Ingraham of Roanoke, VA and a son, Brett Matthew Shepardson of Endicott, NY.

He leaves behind his faithful and loyal dog and cat, Czar and G.W. He is survived by his three sons, Douglas Charles, Adam Louis (Corinne) both of Endicott and Derek Joseph of Roanoke, VA; four grandchildren, Kevin Richard, Trey Charles, Sophia Lynn Shepardson and Madison Westner; his loving and devoted parents, Charles and Vivienne Shepardson of Endwell, one brother, Jeffery Charles of Horseheads; three sisters, Diana (Pete) Theodore of Maryland, Linda Newborn-Smith of Johnson City and Gwen (Dan) Hogan of Florida; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; also a very special cousin, David Wehr; and loving and caring friends, Leona Franks and Richard LaSasso.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. at the Community Church of the Nazarene, Rte. 26 N, West Corners. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson.
