Mrs. Mary Etta Mutzler, age 69, wife of John Mutzler. died at 7:00 a. m. Thursday, at their home in Kirklin, after a long illness from gall duct trouble. She submitted to an operation for gall duct trouble last September.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Saturday morning at the Sheridan Friends church and burial will follow in the Scott cemetery near Scircleville. The body will lie in state at the Hinshaw funeral home at Sheridan until the hour of services. Mrs. Mutzler was a daughter of James and Mary Ann (Snodgrass) Spurgeon. Surviving with the husband are two sons Harvey Whicker of near Sheridan, |and Walker of Indianapolis, sons by a previous marriage, and Mrs. Richard Spurgeon, who was taken into the home by Mrs. Mutzler when Mrs. Spurgeon was a small girl. Mrs. Mutzler's first husband. John Whicker died about five years ago.
