Services for Mrs. Zella Louella Wilson were held Sept. 5 at the Dry Bayou Baptist Church with the Rev. John Langston and the Rev. Lewis Stone co-officiating. Mrs. Wilson died in Pontiac, Mich., Sept. 2, 1980 at the age of 63. She was the daughter of the late Alvis A. and Edith (Hartwell) Bruce, born April 18, 1917, in Stubtown.
She was the wife of Charlie Doss Wilson of East Prairie whom she married in Blytheville in 1931. They returned from living in Pontiac to East Prairie in 1975. Mrs. Wilson attended schools in Concord and Bragg City as a girl.
She is survived by her husband; eight sons, William of Charleston, Charlie of Dover, Ark.; Sharron of Puxico, Ronnie of Waterford, Mich., Ray of Drayton Plains, Mich., Norman of Clarkston, Mich., George of Whittemore, Mich., and Bryan of Drayton Plains; four daughters, Mrs. Janie Barker of St. Louis, Mrs. George Boyd of Dumas, Ark., Mrs. Alfred Hill of East Prairie, and Mrs. Norman Brainer of Festus; three half-brothers, Melvin of Peach Orchard, Ark., George of Redman, Calif., and Bill of St. Louis; two half-sisters, Mrs. Edna Cooper of Concord, Ark., and Mrs. Louise Hoey of Knoble, Ark.; and 39 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Sharon, Ronnie, Ray, Norman, George and Bryan Wilson and Dennis Detrich and Ray Mullins. Interment was in the Dry Bayou Cemetery with the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
