E. Sam Plank, 63, Camden, died at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 1991, in Memorial Hospital, Logansport. He was born in Camden June 7, 1927, to Dwight and Maude Randolph Plank. He was married Oct. 15, 1976, in Camden to Phyllis A. Harker Beck, who survives. Plank was a former policeman with the Logansport Police Department, and retired in 1987 as owner and operator of Plank Enterprise and S-P Construction. He was a member and trustee of Flora First Brethren Church. A World War II and Korean conflict veteran, he was a U.S. Marine. Other memberships include Elks Lodge No. 2011 of Chula Vista, Calif., and Camden American Legion Post No. 413. Surviving with his wife are two sons, Marc of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jerry of San Diego, Calif.; and one granddaughter. A sister preceded him in death. Services were held Monday in Logansport, with the Rev. Alvin Grumbling officiating. Burial was in Camden Cemetery.
