Elizabeth Clarice Hobbs Johnson was born February 14, 1907 in Coldspring to James B. Hobbs and Missouri Willis Hobbs and died April 12, 2001 at Golden Charm Nursing Home in Liberty. A former resident of Batson, Johnson had resided in the Liberty area for the past 72 years. She was the retired owner/operator of Johnson Trailer Park and the Johnson Cafeteria in Liberty. She was a charter member of the Church of Christ in Liberty where she was active in church activities. Johnson enjoyed working and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wells W. Johnson; son, Justin E. Johnson; daughter, Erma E. Tabor; and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son, James "J.W." Johnson and his wife, Ruth, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
