Amos C. Funk, 84, of West Hempfield Twp., died Wednesday at Lancaster General Hospital of natural causes. He was the husband of Jean B. Urban Funk with whom he celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 8, 2004.

He was born in Manor Township, son of the late Roy H. and Mildred Shultz Funk. He was a farmer all of his life. Along with his eight brothers, they started Funk Brothers, Inc. a large poultry business in Lancaster County in 1948. A member of Washington Boro Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his wife, three sons, Kenneth E. Funk and A. Steven, married to Beverly J. Groff Funk, both of Washington Boro and Jerry married to Sally Warner Funk, Marietta. Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Six brothers: Edgar S. Funk, Leroy Funk, Paul D. Funk all of Washington Boro; James H. Funk, Robert D. Funk both of Mountville and Donald H. Funk of Lititz. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Milton and Lester Funk. One sister Ruth Funk.

Funeral Service will be held at Washington Boro Church of God, 15 Rockfish Street, Washington Boro, PA on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Pastor James K. Scott, officiating. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Please omit flowers.
