*Most common way to spell was with an S; do not know if this was a mispelling or not. It is also possible the name Romagosa was Adelaide's maiden name, which the children she had with Louis Telefore Vessier: Louis Onisfore, Rudolphe and Estephani used since there are birth and census records of those exact names in the Vessier household [father L. T. Vessier was an agent for the Louisiana Lottery in NOLA]. In the 1870 US Federal census the family's race is listed as mulatto, however, the It is unknown how the family wound up in Shreveport other than to follow Paul Emile DeBergue, whose father and birth are unknown presently. Louis O. Romagosa's 1921 application for a passport listed the father as Louis V. with an unknown birth and death date.
