CALHOUN

Michael McGivern, Sr. has been stricken with paralysis and his death is hourly expected. Mr. McGivern was one of the first settlers of this place, having come here in 1843 and settled on the farm where he now lives. With his ax and good right arm he built for himself and family a home, and has ever been an upright, honorable citizen, and good neighbor in every sense of the word.

Mrs. Margaret Consadine of Iowa, and Mrs. Patrick Devitt of Milwaukee, were called home to see their father, Mr. McGivern.
