Chico Record, Tuesday, June 28, 1921, pg 5 col 5: Mrs. C.M. Gouding [sic] Dies After Short Illness. Mrs. Beryel [sic] I. Gouding succumbed last night at 6 o'clock after a short illness. She was a native of Colusa county and was born May 22, 1889. She came to Chico in 1895 where she has resided ever since. She resided on the creek road at the time of death.
Surviving are her husband, C.M. Gouding; five sons, Merrill, Clyde, Verne, Francis and Phillip; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Harris of Chico; two sisters, Mrs. Dave Vaughan of Sacramento, and Miss Lucille Harris of Chico; and two brothers, Eldon Harris of Chico, and Byron Harris of Benicia.
Funeral arrangement, which are in charge of Fetters and Williams Undertaking parlors, have not been definitely made yet.
