Robert Stephens Suter of Savage died March 12. He was 91.
Born in 1913, he was known affectionately as "Uncle Bob" by many children and adults who sled on "Suter's Hill" in the winter, family members said.
Mt Suter was employed by and retired from the John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel.
Surviving are his sons, Harold Suter of Washington and Donald Suter of Edgewood, Md; daughters, Marian Suter Bailey of Savage, Dorothy Jean Sowell of Indiana and Helen Morris Rushing of Savage; and 36 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Hackley Suter.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
