*Little is known about the family of Robert "Bob" (Morrow) Woody. He came to Texas and was reared by his step-father, Hugh Woody, and his mother.

After "Bob" and Eliza Jane's marriage, they lived first in Collin County, Texas, then later moved to Montague County. After Jane's death, Bob returned to Collin County, with his young baby and oldest son, Martin Luther, and lived with his mother and step-father. They assumed the last name of Woody. The baby died shortly afterward. The other three children, Allison O., Rebecca and Rily Hampton went to Coryell County to live with Eliza Jane's parents, Allison Osborne and Rebecca (Lawson) Pendleton.

Shortly before 1900, all of Bob's family came back together in Collin County, and the remaining children assumed the last name of Woody. They moved to Jack County, and in 1907, Bob moved with part of his family to Clay County.

In 1935/36, Robert applied for an old age pension in Wichita County, Texas. He told the worker that his name was really Robert Alexander Morrow. After talking it over, he and the case worker decided that since he and all his children had taken the name of Woody and also that his children had married under that name, that he, too, should keep the name of Woody. He signed a notorized paper to that effect that day. A grand daughter, Ruth (Woody) Bell, was there at this time and remembered it well.

Eliza Jane died 14 Nov 1891 Age: 35 Death near Nocona, Montague County, Texas of Pneumonia - buried: Keck Cemetery, off E. Bank of Lake Nocona, Montague County, Texas
