William Fancher was the second son of Captain Alexander and Elizabeth (Ingram) Fancher, born 1840-1841 in Illinois. He, his parents, and 6 of his siblings, died in the 1857 Mountain Meadows Massacre in Utah Territory. He was 17 years old when he died.
