Bet. Apr–29 Jul 1861; Co.H,10th Reg PA Infantry enlisted as a corporal.
23 Aug 1864; Co.F,198th Reg PA inf Volunteers as a 2nd Lieutnant.
Promoted to 1st lieutenant on 5/1/1865. Discharged from service on 6/4/1865 at Philadelphia, PA.

Military pensioner due to Bronchial affection and impaired eyesight. Also had typhoid fever from 2/4/1865 until 2/21/1865.
Orginal buried at Sandyvale cemetery, moved to Grandview cemetery in 1909.
